Abstract

The emergence of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 gave birth to a new phenomenon that is slowly changing the global economic system. The digital economy is clear evidence of the 4.0 industrial revolution today. In addition, foreign direct investment has also become a large part of economic activity. When the combination of direct foreign investment is combined with the digital economy, this will create opportunities in the economic system. As a foreign State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN), Temasek Holdings, often makes Indonesia its investment target. It is Indonesia's Digital Economy that has recently become an attraction for Temasek to continue investing. Starting from this background, this research raises the question "What is the attractiveness of Indonesia as a target for Singapore investment through Temasek?" The main reason for Temasek Holdings to expand their investment activities is taking into account the growth of Indonesia's digital economy. This analysis led to a conclusion that Indonesia has all the advantages in terms of natural resources and human resources to be used as an investment target. Meanwhile, Indonesia, in the process of developing its digital economy, also needs funding and technology transfer which forms the basis of this collaboration. In this case, we need a society that is more digitally literate, builds a more orderly FDI system, and maintains the development of Indonesian startups that already have a valuation value. Thus each concept, background, and characteristic provides an overview of The Attraction of Indonesia as an Investment Target
