Abstract
This research aims to examine the effect of capital structure, intangible assets, and managerial agency costs on financial distress. This study uses a quantitative approach with a population of property and real estate sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020 – 2022. The sample used in this study was determined by purposive sampling which resulted in 56 companies and a total of 168 sample observations. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to test this research hypothesis using STATA. This research obtained the results, (1) capital structure does not have a significant effect on financial distress, (2) intangible assets do not have a significant effect on financial distress, (3) managerial agency costs have a significant negative effect on financial distress.
