Abstract

Determine the relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI), rank, and age of symptom onset on the degree of knee osteoarthritis in TNI patients at Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital. The research was an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional approach on 84 medical record data of TNI patients who experienced knee osteoarthritis at RSPAD Gatot Soebroto in the period January 2019 - December 2022. Data analysis in this study used the Chi-Square test, with the Fisher Exact test as an alternative. Results: There was a significant relationship between BMI and the degree of knee osteoarthritis in TNI patients (p = 0.000). There was a significant relationship between rank and the degree of knee osteoarthritis in TNI patients (p = 0.004). There was a significant relationship between the age of symptom onset and the degree of knee osteoarthritis in TNI patients (p = 0.000). There was a significant relationship between BMI, rank, and age of symptom onset on the degree of knee osteoarthritis.
