Abstract

This research focuses on the level of adaptation of new students to distance digital education media during a pandemic. The explanation of this phenomenon will be assisted by McLuhan's Media Ecology theory which explains the aspects of individual life that are influenced by the media. The results of this study are, students are familiar with the online learning system because it has been done for approximately two years. Devices that cannot be separated from everyday life eventually become something that cannot be separated, as in the theory of media ecology where there is a symbiotic relationship between humans and the media. This facility makes it easier for students to acquire knowledge and do assignments with the help of internet access. Various features in communication technology are also used by students to increase productivity outside of learning activities.
