Abstract

The incidence of people with chronic renal failure (GGK) every year always increases. One of the treatments that can be given to people with hemodialysis is hemodialysis therapy. Often hemodialysis therapy is carried out which every week is seen from the function of the kidneys and the clinical condition of the patient. After running hemodialysis, patients may experience physical and psychological complaints that can affect the quality of life in hemodialysis patients. Coupled with the current condition of the COVID-19 pandemic, it can increase patients' anxiety to do hemodialysis treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of anxiety and the quality of life of hemodialysis patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used a cross-sectional design with a sample of 81 respondents using the purposive sampling method. Data were collected using the Kidney Disease Quality of Life Questionaire (KDQOL) questionnaire version 1.3 Indonesian Translation and the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale. The analysis used, namely the Chi Square test on SPSS 23, found that there was a relationship between the level of anxiety about the quality of life of hemodialysis patients during the Covid-19 pandemic and obtained a value (p value = .000 < 0.05) which means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected.
