Abstract
Stunting or commonly called short body can be interpreted as a condition where there is a growth disorder in children under the age of 5 as a result of a lack of nutritional intake, especially in the first thousand (1000) days after they born. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parental knowledge and family support with efforts to prevent stunting in children under five in Posyandu Anggrek 1 RW 06 Kramat Jati, East Jakarta. The research method that used is Cross Sectional and Sampling used a simple random proportional stratified simple probability sampling method with 96 samples Collecting data using a questionnaire consisting of several characteristics of mother and child respondents, mother's knowledge, family support and stunting prevention efforts that have been carried out with validity and reliability. The Chi-square analysis test obtained p value = 0.004 (p <0.05) meaning that there was a relationship between family support and stunting prevention efforts, while the Chi-square test results for knowledge and stunting prevention efforts obtained p value = 0.031, which means that there is a relationship between maternal knowledge with efforts to prevent stunting in toddlers at Posyandu Anggreek 1 RW 06 Kramat Jati, East Jakarta
