Abstract

Communication has an important role which can manage humans life. Humans communications process starting from the nearest circle and intimate, that is family who’s include in interpersonal communication. According to Effendi, interpersonal communications is very important because enable to occur dialogically, interpersonal communications also rated to the most effective communications to launch persuasive communication. The communications which happen in a family, frequently is persuasive which is parents tried to changes his son’s ideas or manners which parent’s expected. This study aims to determine is there any influence of parents reference on choosing action of motorcycle brand and how much influence of parents reference on choosing action of motorcycle brand. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach. The research method used is a survey. The population of this study was students of Bogor 2nd Madrasah Aliyah with a total sample of 92 respondents. Data testing techniques using the SPSS version 20. The results of this study indicate that the correlation of variable X with Y variable is 0,534. Based on the results of the calculation of determination coefficient, the results of the influence of variable X on variable Y are 28,5%. while the remaining 71,5% was caused by other factors not examined in this study. Thus it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so that there is a middle influence between influence of parents reference on choosing action of motorcycle brand.
