Abstract
Background: COVID-19 cases are globally still increasing day by day. Radiological examination can be used as a first-line modality in patients with suspected COVID-19 or for critically ill patients. Many cases confirmed positive for COVID-19 with comorbid or comorbid diseases. Indonesia is one of the 10 countries in the world with the highest number of diabetics. Based on these considerations, research on chest radiological findings toward the prognosis of COVID-19 patients with diabetes mellitus still needs to be done. The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between radiological findings toward the prognosis of COVID-19 patients with diabetes mellitus using the Systematic Literature Review method. Method: Systematic Literature Review by conducting a literature search using Google Scholar and PubMed. Literature discusses about COVID-19, prognosis, chest radiology, and diabetes mellitus. Results: From the 5 research literatures which had been used it can be concluded that there is no relationship between the radiological findings toward the prognosis of COVID-19 patients with diabetes mellitus, because there are other factors that can affect the patient's condition and prognosis such as; Blood glucose levels, controlled blood glucose levels, insulin requirements, and the drugs that had been used. Conclusion: The results of chest radiological findings are not the only reference in determining the prognosis of COVID-19 patients with diabetes mellitus.
