Abstract
The quality of life of the elderly is influenced by various factors such as physical health, psychological health, social relations, and the environment. This study aims to determine the relationship of stress levels with quality of life in the elderly. The research test was carried out by Chi-square using a cross-sectional method conducted on 40 elderly people. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between stress level and quality of life in the elderly (p <0,000). This is because the elderly will experience physical and psychological setbacks slowly according to age. Problems that will arise in the psychosocial aspect will cause stress which will reduce the quality of life of the elderly. The results of this study recommend to the elderly to always control psychological problems with sources that come from families. Therefore, the family must be able to protect and provide an active role that will foster the motivation of the elderly in living life. Keywords: elderly, stress, quality of life
