Abstract

The distribution routes of sacrificial animals at Khalifa Farm are still arranged manually based on distance estimation and the manager’s experience, which may result in less efficient routes. This study aims to implement the Hybrid Genetic Algorithm (HGA) for optimizing sacrificial animal distribution routes and to develop a web-based system to support delivery management and monitoring. The problem is modeled as a Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows (CVRPTW) by considering vehicle capacity, time windows, and operational constraints. The HGA method combines the Genetic Algorithm with 2-opt local search to improve the visiting sequence. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development method with FastAPI, React, and PostgreSQL. The testing results show that 2-opt reduced the distance from 2,002.09 km to 1,899.44 km, achieving an improvement of 5.13%. Benchmarking using Google Routes API showed a distance reduction from 2,600.665 km to 2,088.179 km, or 19.70%, while OSRM measurement showed an efficiency of 21.83%. All Black Box Testing scenarios were successful, and the UAT score reached 98.95%, categorized as very good. The results indicate that the system can generate shorter routes and is acceptable to users.
