Abstract
Import businesses in Indonesia widely use the 1688 platform as a source of products. However, important information embedded in product images (in-image text) is presented in Mandarin, making it difficult to understand using conventional translation tools. This research aims to design a Chrome Extension capable of automatically performing product data web scraping, implementing Optical Character Recognition (OCR)-based Image Text Swapping, and optimizing the Pipeline Scheduler using the Firefly Algorithm. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method with the V-Model software development model. System evaluation was conducted through functional testing of each module, Pipeline Scheduler optimization testing using the Firefly Algorithm, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The results show that the OCR module achieved an accuracy of 86.41%, while the Translation module achieved a 100% success rate. The implementation of the Firefly Algorithm reduced the processing time of a single product page from 202.140 seconds to 20.63 seconds, representing an 89.79% reduction compared to Sequential Processing. Furthermore, the UAT result reached 84.38%, categorized as Very Good. These findings demonstrate that the proposed system effectively supports product data extraction, image translation, and multilingual product catalog generation with improved speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
