Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) implementation, trade openness, inflation, and the Labour Force Participation Rate (LFPR) on economic growth in four ASEAN countries, namely the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia, during the period 2011–2024. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary panel data sourced from the World Bank, OECD, UNCTAD, and WTO. The analysis was conducted using panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) based on the Least Square Dummy Variable (LSDV) approach, following the Chow Test, Hausman Test, and classical assumption tests. The results indicate that RCEP implementation has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in Indonesia and Malaysia, a negative effect in the Philippines, and no significant effect in Thailand. Trade openness has a positive and significant effect on economic growth across all countries, although the magnitude varies. Inflation shows no significant effect, while LFPR has a positive and significant effect on economic growth.
