Abstract
Islamic banking has shown a positive trend, recording significant asset growth in recent years. However, its performance in generating profits from managed assets remains suboptimal, as evidenced by fluctuating ROA figures. This study aims to examine the influence of NPF, FDR, and BOPO on ROA in Islamic banking. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data from companies’ financial statements for the 2021–2025 period. The sample consists of companies in the BUS and UUS groups, totaling 27 firms. Data were analyzed using EViews 13 via panel data regression analysis with the Random Effects Model (REM). The results indicate that the NPF and FDR variables do not have a significant effect on financial performance (ROA), whereas the BOPO variable exhibits a significant negative effect on the financial performance (ROA) of Islamic banking. Meanwhile, the results of the simultaneous test show that the NPF, FDR, and BOPO variables have a significant effect on the financial performance (ROA) of Islamic banking.
