Abstract
Human-computer interaction continues to evolve alongside technological advancement, driving the need for more intuitive interfaces with reduced reliance on physical hardware. Conventional mice and touchpads present limitations including restricted workspace, hardware dependency, and the risk of musculoskeletal disorders from prolonged intensive use. This research implements a Virtual Mouse system based on Hand Landmark Detection using the YOLO11 model as a touchless navigation solution, supporting nine mouse actions through hand gestures, namely Move Cursor, Left Click, Right Click, Double Click, Drag, Scroll Up, Scroll Down, Zoom In, and Zoom Out. Testing results demonstrate a 99% functional success rate across 200 test cases, an average latency of 54,66 ms on GPU and 239.77 ms on CPU, strong robustness across varying lighting conditions and complex backgrounds, and a user evaluation score of 3.99 out of 5.00, with all 10 testers confirming the system as a viable alternative to a physical mouse.
