Abstract
The development of information technology has encouraged changes in accounting processes from manual recording to digital-based systems. One form of this technological implementation is the use of cloud-based accounting software such as Xero. This scientific review aims to conduct an analysis of accounting information systems based on Xero software in supporting the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a literature study approach and practical simulation (hands-on experience). Primary data were obtained through experimental workflows and feature functions in the Xero software, while secondary data were collected from books, scientific journals, and official Xero Central documentation. The results of the analysis show that Xero's main features, such as the financial dashboard, automated bank reconciliation, and invoice creation system, significantly minimize the risk of human error, thereby improving data accuracy. In addition, cloud-based data integration accelerates transaction processing into real-time financial statements, which impacts time and operational cost efficiency. This review concludes that the implementation of Xero software is effective in optimizing the accounting cycle and providing reliable financial reporting for decision-making.
