Abstract
Abstract This study examines Indonesia’s strategy to strengthen cross-border QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) cooperation with ASEAN countries following the G20 Bali 2022 Summit, which emphasized the theme “Recover Together, Recover Stronger” and accelerated global financial digitalization. Leveraging the G20 presidency momentum, Indonesia promotes digital payment interoperability as a tool for financial inclusion and regional digital economic integration, particularly through bilateral and multilateral collaborations with Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. Using policy analysis and the Power and Interdependence theory, this research evaluates cooperation strategies, regulatory challenges, infrastructure readiness, cybersecurity, and digital literacy. Findings indicate that successful implementation of cross-border QRIS relies on regulatory harmonization, technical coordination, and comprehensive inclusion strategies, which not only facilitate seamless cross-border transactions but also strengthen ASEAN’s digital economic integration and expand market access for SMEs. These results underscore Indonesia’s strategic role as a regional digital transformation leader and highlight the importance of regional collaboration for inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Keywords:QRIS, G20 Bali Summit 2022, digital economic integration, ASEAN, International Cooperation.
