Abstract

Work stress is one of the psychosocial factors that can affect workers health, especially taxi drivers. Blood pressure and body fat percentage are indicators used to assess the risk of cardiometabolic disease. This study aims to determine the relationship between work stress levels to blood pressure and percentage body fat in taxi drivers. The research method uses an analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample consisted of 99 taxi drivers selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data on work stress were collected using the Effort Reward Imbalance Questionnaire, blood pressure was measured with a sphygmomanometer, and body fat percentage was measured by using the BIA (Omron HBF-375). This research was conducted from October 2025 to December 2025. The collected data was tested using the spearman correlation test. The research results show no significant relationship between work stress levels and blood pressure (r = -0,137;p = 0,175). Similarly, there is no significant relationship between work stress levels and body fat percentage (r = -0,095;p = 0,348). The conclusion of this study is that work stress is not related to increased blood pressure or percentage body fat. These findings are likely due to several other influencing factors, such as age, work duration, smoking habits, caffeine consumption, and diet.
