Abstract
Drying clothes is an activity that has become a daily routine. Conventional clothesline is often considered inefficient because it requires more effort and unpredictable weather conditions. Various studies of an automatic clothesline systems have been developed, however, most of them are limited to using only two parameters: rain and temperature. This study aims to design and build an automatic clothesline system with rain detection, utilizing three parameters to assist in the drying process, processed with fuzzy logic, utilizing sunlight as the primary energy source, and integrated with Telegram as control and monitoring system. The system was developed using the YL-83 sensor to detect rain, while the fuzzy logic inputs consist of the YL-69 sensor to measure fabric moisture, the DHT22 sensor to measure temperature, and the TSL2561 sensor to measure light intensity. These three fuzzy logic inputs are processed using the Mamdani fuzzy logic model, with the output in the form of fan duration to assist in drying clothes. The results show that the Mamdani fuzzy logic model used achieved an accuracy of 96.76%, while the rain detection system achieved 100% accuracy. In addition, users can control the clothesline via Telegram commands and receive notifications with an average latency of 2509.6 ms and 100% accuracy in the control and monitoring system.
