Abstract
Employee performance reflects individual behavior in accomplishing work tasks. An individual’s inability to manage work responsibilities alongside family obligations and personal life commitments may lead to impaired job performance. This study aims to examine the effects of work-life balance, age, gender, length of service, and work motivation on employee performance at PT X in 2025. This research employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, involving 112 employees of PT X. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed to employees in the office and workshop divisions. Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between work–life balance and employee performance (p = 0.019), while age (p = 0.713), sex (p = 0.343), length of service (p = 0.844), and work motivation (p = 0.437) were not significantly associated with employee performance. These findings indicate the urgency for PT X to incorporate work–life balance elements into company regulations, such as limiting working hours, managing workload, and providing adequate rest periods to prevent work-related fatigue.
