Abstract
Introduction: Changes in modern lifestyles, such as high stress level and sedentary lifestyle, are factors that contribute to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, which can be predicted through blood pressure. Final-year female students at the Faculty of Medicine are a group that is vulnerable to sedentary lifestyle and stress due to academic pressures that can potentially affect blood pressure regulation. This study aims to analyze the relationship between stress level and sedentary lifestyle on blood pressure in final-year female students at the Faculty of Medicine in Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta. Method: This study used an observational analytical approach with a cross-sectional research design. The study sample consisted of 53 final-year female students at the Faculty of Medicine in Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria and were selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using the chi-square test. Result: The statistical test results show that there is a significant relationship between stress level and blood pressure (p-value: 0,034) and no significant relationship between a sedentary lifestyle and blood pressure (p-value: 0,063). Conclusion: This study found that there is a significant relationship between stress level and blood pressure in final-year female students at the Faculty of Medicine in Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta and that there is no significant relationship between sedentary lifestyle and blood pressure in final-year female students at the Faculty of Medicine in Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta
