Abstract
This research is a normative juridical study with a statutory approach which developed to examine and elaborate on the regulations concerning the scope of authority of traditional health practitioners based on the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2023 on Health. The primary legal material used is the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2023, supported by secondary legal materials in the form of legal journals and scientific books. The study focuses on examining the scope of authority of traditional health practitioners. The Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2023 was enacted as an amendment to all regulations governing health. One of the aspects regulated in this law is traditional health practitioners. The law stipulates the obligations of traditional health practitioners in providing traditional health services, the education of traditional health practitioners, their authority, rights, as well as prohibitions and limitations. However, several provisions in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2023 remain insufficiently detailed. In addition, there are some traditional health practitioners who provide traditional health services without fulfilling the obligations as mandated by the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2023.
