Abstract

Work productivity is a critical factor in determining the success of an institution, particularly in research environments where high levels of concentration, analytical accuracy, and cognitive performance are essential. Amid increasingly complex workplace demands, individual factors such as nutritional status, work-related stress, and breakfast habits have become highly relevant to investigate due to their potential impact on both physical and mental performance. However, these factors are often overlooked, especially within the specific context of research institutions. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between nutritional status, work stress, and breakfast habits with the work productivity of employees at LPEM FEB UI. A cross-sectional design was used with a total sampling method involving 55 respondents. The data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods with the chi-square test. The results indicated that there was no statistically significant association between nutritional status (p=0,104), work stress (p=0,462), and breakfast habits (p=0,401) with employee work productivity. These results suggest that, in this context, the three variables may not be primary determinants of productivity. Nevertheless, an approach by emphasizing nutrition, stress management, and healthy eating patterns remains important as part of a comprehensive workplace well-being strategy.
