Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the extent to which the current legal protection system is able to guarantee a sense of security and justice for victims of sexism, as well as evaluate the role of the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) in handling similar cases. Through this study, it is hoped that various gaps or weaknesses in existing regulations can be identified, and recommendations can be made that not only strengthen the legal basis, but are also able to build collective public awareness in dealing with and preventing the rise of sextortion crimes in the midst of the rapid development of the digital world. The research method used is normative juridical with legislative approach and case approach. The result is that sextortion can occurin the form of various factors, from many factors the perpetrator has many ways to fulfill his sexual desires. While in its protection, victims of sextortion have not received their rights, although victims of sextortion should be entitled to handling, protection and recovery. For this reason, one of the efforts that can be made is for the victim to submit an application to the Witness and Victim Protection Agency, which can be done by Finally, that the role of the State is very determining for the successful implementation and fulfillment of protection for victims of sex work.
