Abstract
CV. Super Tani is a company engaged in organic fertilizer production, yet it still faces quality issues such as clumping, excessive moisture, and off-standard color. These defects reduce customer satisfaction and increase production costs due to rework. This study aims to analyze the causes of product defects and propose quality improvement using the Six Sigma method with the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) approach. Data were collected from the January to September 2024 production period and analyzed using tools such as Pareto Chart, FTA, and FMEA. The results show that the most dominant defects are excessive moisture and clumping, with an initial DPMO of 28,902 and a sigma level of 3.07. After applying the proposed improvements, the DPMO dropped to 11,152 and the sigma level increased to 3.57. The implementation of the Six Sigma method proved effective in reducing defects and improving the quality of organic fertilizer products at CV. Super Tani.
