Abstract

This study aims to design and test a prototype of a control and notification system for an automatic sliding gate using RFID technology and the Blynk application based on the ESP32 microcontroller. The system is capable of opening the gate in three different scales: small, medium, and large. It also sends notifications to a smartphone, activates a buzzer, and displays information on an LCD. Test results show that control via the Blynk application achieved average response times of 4.12 seconds (small), 5.90 seconds (medium), and 7.18 seconds (large), with all trials successfully opening the gate as expected. Meanwhile, automatic control using RFID recorded response times of 3.09 seconds, 5.69 seconds, and 7.83 seconds. Gate scale detection using ultrasonic sensors showed 100% success when the object was placed in front of sensor 1, and 84% success with sensor 2 or 3. For medium-scale classification (two active sensors), accuracy dropped to 42% due to crosstalk. However, with all three sensors active, accuracy returned to 100% as the large object fully covered the wave emission area.
