Abstract

Background: Cerebral Palsy is a motor disorder caused by permanent and non-progressive brain damage. One type is Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy, characterized by paralysis in both legs, spasticity, balance disorders, and difficulty walking. The prevalence is higher in developing countries, including Indonesia. Physiotherapy plays a crucial role in improving posture, movement control, and enhancing the child's functional abilities. Purpose: To determine the physiotherapy management of Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy at YPAC Jakarta. Method: This study used a descriptive case study method to gain in-depth understanding. One child diagnosed with this condition participated in the study. The intervention included Neuro Developmental Treatment (NDT), the use of a tilting table, and assessment tools such as GMFCS and GMFM to measure gross motor and functional improvements. Results: After three physiotherapy sessions using the NDT approach and tilting table, improvements in postural control while sitting were observed. Conclusion: The Neuro Developmental Treatment (NDT) approach can improve sitting postural control in children with Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy. Keywords: Cerebral Palsy Spastic Diplegia, Physiotherapy, Neuro Developmental Treatment, GMFCS, GMFM, Tilting Table, Postural Control.
