Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a significant public health issue, particularly among the productive age group (15–49 years), which plays a vital role in economic development. DKI Jakarta has a high TB incidence, yet specific studies on risk factors for Drug-Sensitive Pulmonary Tuberculosis (SO) in this age group are still limited. This study aims to identify factors influencing the incidence of SO Pulmonary TB among the productive age population in DKI Jakarta in 2024. A cross-sectional design was used with secondary data from the Tuberculosis Information System (SITB) of the DKI Jakarta Health Office. Data were analyzed using chi-square tests and multiple logistic regression. The prevalence of SO Pulmonary TB among the productive age group was 63.1%. Multivariate analysis revealed significant risk factors: male gender (POR = 1.290; 95% CI: 1.203–1.382), HIV positive status (OR = 0.593; 95% CI: 0.511–0.688), positive diabetes mellitus (POR = 1.902; 95% CI: 1.667–2.171), and health service type. Patients who initially visited First-Level Health Facilities (FKTP), such as public health centers (puskesmas) and clinics, had a higher risk (POR = 4.698; 95% CI: 4.300–4.938). The most dominant factor was health service type, especially FKTP. These findings highlight the need to strengthen diagnostic capacities and improve healthcare workers’ competencies at FKTP level.ce of health workers at primary health care facilities.
