Abstract

The ventilator weaning process is a crucial stage in the recovery of critically ill patients and requires a holistic approach. Murottal Al-Qur’an therapy, as a non-pharmacological intervention, is believed to reduce anxiety and enhance comfort. This study aims to analyze the effect of murottal therapy on clinical outcomes during the weaning process in the ICU of Bhayangkara Level I Hospital, Pusdokkes Polri, using a holistic nursing case study approach. Instruments used include RSBI, DVAS, VASA, and monitoring of hemodynamic parameters (HR, MAP, RR, SpO₂). Results showed that Tn. J experienced a decrease in RSBI from 45.55 to 29.48; DVAS from 60 to 30; and VASA from 70 to 30. Ny. A showed a decrease in RSBI from 127.73 to 63.86; DVAS from 80 to 35; and VASA from 80 to 35. Murottal therapy proved potential for both physiologically and psychologically, and is recommended as a supportive intervention in critical care nursing practice.
