Abstract
Security is a crucial aspect of information systems, especially in web-based applications used in industrial environments. PT Astra Daihatsu Motor utilizes the Monitoring Continuous Improvement (MOCI) system to track employee innovation ideas. Currently, the authentication process still uses Employee Identification Number (NPK) and password, which has limitations in both security and efficiency. This study aims to develop a facial authentication system using MTCNN for face detection and FaceNet for face recognition, integrated into the Laravel-based MOCI system. The process starts with detecting faces using MTCNN, then converting them into feature vectors through FaceNet. These vectors are compared with those stored in the database using cosine similarity. Testing shows that the system can recognize faces with a 76% accuracy rate, while achieving a user satisfaction level of 97% based on interval index results. The average time needed for authentication is around 7 seconds, and the system is capable of detecting spoofing attempts using face images. These findings indicate that implementing face recognition improves both the security and efficiency of the user authentication process in MOCI at PT Astra Daihatsu Motor.
