Abstract

Information technology plays a crucial role in supporting organizational operations, including in the public sector. Advances in this field not only drive economic growth but also contribute to national stability and improved quality of life for communities. As part of the government under the Ministry of State Secretariat, the Cipanas Presidential Palace is responsible for providing technical support in managing state-owned assets. However, the institution still faces challenges in its logistics inventory management, which relies on a conventional system. Issues like inaccurate data and delayed reporting results from this. In order to increase the efficacy and efficiency of logistics management, this project intends to develop and deploy a web-based inventory control information system. System needs are assessed using the PIECES (Performance, Information, Economics, Control, Efficiency, Service) paradigm and the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology. Black Box testing is used to test the system, which was created with a MySQL database and the Laravel framework. Key features include real-time stock tracking, expiration date notifications, user access management, and automated report generation. Testing results confirm that the system successfully meets functional requirements, including item category management, unit tracking, warehouse stock control, item requests, and report printing. The implementation of this system delivers significant benefits, such as reducing human error, enabling real-time inventory monitoring, and improving data accuracy. For future development, recommendations include adding an analytical dashboard feature, conducting regular security audits, and developing a mobile version for flexible access.
