Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the financial performance of PT Danareksa (Persero) through an analysis of liquidity and profitability ratios over the period from 2019 to 2023. The research uses a descriptive approach as the method of analysis. The data used were obtained from the company’s financial statements over the past five years. The evaluation results show that, in terms of liquidity, although the company’s Current Ratio of 126.91% is still below the ideal standard of 150–250%, indicating challenges in meeting short-term obligations with the current assets owned, the Cash Ratio, which is quite low at 28.64% and below the ideal standard of 50%, indicates limited cash available to immediately pay short-term debts. Meanwhile, the Quick Ratio of 125.20% provides a more positive result with an ideal standard of 100%, showing the company’s ability to pay obligations without relying on inventory. This indicates that the company has not been able to manage its liquidity effectively. On the profitability side, the Return on Assets (ROA) ratio reflects optimal performance at 2.10%, as the assets owned can be efficiently utilized to generate profit. However, the Return on Equity (ROE) is still suboptimal at 4.89%, reflecting less effective use of shareholders’ funds to generate profit, which may also be caused by relatively small net income compared to large equity. Return on Investment (ROI) shows a better result at 82.12%, indicating an improvement in the company’s financial performance in terms of returns on capital and investment. This shows that the company is fairly capable of managing its profitability effectively.
