Abstract
The increase in the number of JKN participants in Indonesia has greatly benefited healthcare services, prompting the government to improve the BPJS treatment class system. The KRIS-JKN policy replaces the previous BPJS treatment class system to promote the principles of equity and fairness in maintaining quality and patient safety in all government and private hospitals. The KRIS-JKN policy framework is regulated under Presidential Regulation No. 59 of 2024, which outlines 12 criteria for infrastructure and facilities, with an implementation target date of 30 June 2025. This study aims to analyse the readiness for KRIS-JKN implementation based on the General Health Services Decision No. HK.02.02/I/1811/2022 by identifying the readiness profile of KRIS-JKN, supporting factors, hindering factors, and the strategies employed. This study was conducted using a case study design with analysis of primary and secondary data sources. The results of the study show that 10 out of 12 KRIS-JKN criteria are 96.7% ready in terms of infrastructure readiness. This is because the Khidmat Sehat Afiat Regional Public Hospital has a strong commitment to implementing KRIS-JKN and is a regional government hospital that is required to implement KRIS-JKN. The KRIS-JKN criteria that have not met the requirements are criterion 3 on the intensity of lighting in inpatient rooms and criterion 11 on bathroom accessibility with the “disable” symbol. Additionally, there is no specific funding and no dedicated implementation team for KRIS-JKN. Strategies to optimise the implementation process of KRIS-JKN at RSUD Khidmat Sehat Afiat include regular monitoring and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure by the hospital's internal audit team. Additionally, a special budget allocation for KRIS-JKN is planned for the year 2025. Keywords: Inpatient Care, KRIS-JKN Implementation Readiness, 12 Criteria for Infrastructure Standards
