Abstract
Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) remains a concern due to its potential to cause outbreaks and deaths. There has been an increase in cases in South Tangerang City and throughout the Pamulang District Health Center, with a total of 754 cases in 2024. This study aimed to identify the determinants of DHF in the Pamulang District Health Center, South Tangerang City, in 2025. This study used a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 110 respondents, reqruited by using a Multistage Random Sampling technique. Data were analyzed by using a Chi-Square test and multiple logistic regression test. The results showed that the proportion of DHF cases was 18.2%. Analysis using multiple logistic regression showed a significant association between hanging clothes (aPOR = 11.533; 95% CI = 1.396–95.274) and gender (aPOR = 6.682; 95% CI = 2.239–19.937) with DHF incidence. The variable of hanging clothes is the most dominant factor associated with DHF incidence. Education is needed for the community regarding the potential resting places of mosquitoes in the home, such as hanging used clothes, thus the community can fold or store used clothes in a closed container.
