Abstract

Limited knowledge acceptance and gaps are the main triggers of the lack of nurses' knowledge, this is also supported by the perception that there is no obligation to conduct routine delirium assessments in the room. This statement is supported by the lack of implementation of guidelines such as the ABCDE Bundle, which is considered to require more time and effort. This study aims to determine the relationship between the perception and knowledge of intensive care nurses on the behavior of nurses in conducting delirium assessments in the ICU room of RSPAD Gatot Soebroto. This study used a quantitative method with a Cross-Sectional design, with a sample of 82 respondents with data analysis using the Chi-Square Test. The results of the study showed that there was no significant relationship between nurses' perceptions of intensive care nurses' delirium assessment behavior in the room, with a P-Value of 0.637 and there was no significant relationship between nurses' knowledge of intensive care nurses' delirium assessment behavior in the room, with a P-Value of 0.484. It is hoped that hospitals can continue to provide training and supplies to nurses to provide competent and adequate services and care.
