Abstract
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a place of care for patients who require intensive monitoring, one of which is patients with severe infections. The irrational administration of antibiotics in the ICU can trigger Multidrug-Resistant (MDR) conditions triggered by Multidrug-Resistant Organisms (MDRO). Commonly used scoring in the ICU are APACHE II and SOFA scoring. The effectiveness of these two scores to assess mortality has been widely studied but in detecting the incidence of MDRO has not been widely studied. This study aims to see the relationship between APACHE II and SOFA scoring with Multidrug-Resistant Organism (MDRO) incidence in Bacterial Infection Patients in the ICU. The type of research used was a correlative retrospective study using secondary data taken from the medical record data of RSUD Tarakan Jakarta from January - October 2024. The value of the relationship between APACHE II and the incidence of MDRO has a result of p = 0.178 and SOFA with the incidence of MDRO has a value of p = 0.620 which is p> 0.05 which is done using the point biserial correlation test. This shows that both APACHE II and SOFA show that they are not related to the incidence of MDRO. Suggestions for further research are expected to involve other risk factors that affect the incidence of MDRO to create a scoring system that can detect the incidence of MDRO early.
