Abstract

Good perceived knowledge enables health workers to recognize danger signs and manage situations effectively, supporting their resilience in the field. A high perception of knowledge helps health workers cope with pressure, enhancing resilience and maintaining optimal service delivery. This study aimed to examine the relationship between perceived knowledge of disasters, risks, and hazards with the resilience of health workers in facing disasters. A Cross-Sectional method was used, applying a Quota Sampling calculation and Convenience Sampling technique on 369 health workers at a hospital. Univariate analysis involved proportion and average tests, while bivariate analysis used Chi-Square and Mann-Whitney tests. The results showed a significant relationship between perceived disaster knowledge and health workers' resilience with a p-value of 0.009 (p<0.05). Additionally, there was a significant relationship between the type of profession and health workers' resilience, with a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05). This study is expected to provide an overview of the extent of knowledge and resilience of health workers to disasters so that the role of health workers in disaster situations can run more optimally
