Abstract
Poverty is one of the main issues that must be addressed by South Sulawesi Province and affects various aspects of economic and social development. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing poverty in South Sulawesi, namely population size, GRDP, open unemployment, and HDI. The data used is secondary data obtained from the official website of the Central Statistics Agency, covering 21 regencies and 3 cities from 2013 to 2023. This study applies panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) using STATA 17. The findings of this study are as follows: (1) Population size has a positive and significant effect on poverty. (2) GRDP has a negative and significant effect on poverty. (3) Open unemployment has a positive and significant effect on poverty. (4) HDI has a negative and significant effect on poverty. (5) All independent variables together influence poverty.
