Abstract
Indonesia, as the fourth most populous country in the world, faces significant challenges in human resource management. The growth of the workforce requires the availability of sufficient job opportunities to avoid decreasing the decline rate. The main indicator used to measure workforce engagement is the Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) and is often highlighted in discussions of poverty. However, data shows that LFPR in various provinces in Indonesia still experiences gaps and fluctuations due to social and economic factors. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence LFPR in Provinces in Indonesia for the period 2018-2023. The data used comes from the Badan Pusat Statistik and S&P Global, analyzed using a panel data regression approach using FEM and hypothesis testing at a significance level of 5%. This study found that the education variable has a significant positive impact on LFPR in Provinces in Indonesia, while the minimum wage shows a significant negative effect on LFPR in the same region. Conversely, economic growth and purchasing manager index show no significant effect on LFPR in 34 Provinces Indonesia during the period 2018 – 2023.
