Abstract

This study aims to assess the financial performance of the Balikpapan City Government from 2015 to 2022, evaluated using regional financial ratios, namely the Fiscal Decentralization Ratio, Regional Financial Independence Ratio, Effectiveness Ratio, Efficiency Ratio, and Local Revenue Growth Ratio (PAD). The research method used in this study is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The results of the study indicate that during the years 2015-2022, the average financial performance of the Balikpapan City Government, measured using the fiscal decentralization ratio, is categorized as "Sufficient" with an average percentage of 29.04%. When measured using the independence ratio, it is classified as "Consultative" with an average independence ratio percentage of 41.90%. The effectiveness ratio indicates that it is "Very Effective" with an average percentage of 108.28%. The efficiency ratio is categorized as "Inefficient" with an average percentage of 248.29%. Finally, the growth ratio shows an average percentage of Local Revenue Growth of 5.85%.
