Abstract

Poverty alleviation is a primary goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 1, which emphasizes the importance of ending poverty in all its forms worldwide. Banten Province, as one of the regions supporting the national economy, continues to face significant challenges in reducing poverty rates. This study aims to analyze the determinants of poverty, such as the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT), Human Development Index (HDI), and Minimum Wage, in the regencies/cities of Banten Province. The research sample consists of 8 cities/regencies in Banten Province for the period 2010-2023. The method used is panel data regression analysis with the selected model being the Random Effect Model (REM). The results show that TPT and the minimum wage have a significant positive effect on poverty. Meanwhile, HDI has a significant negative effect on poverty in Banten Province.
