Abstract
In the era of globalization, the rapid development of information and technology can have a negative impact, one of which is online gender-based violence (OGBV). According to CATAHU 2023, DKI Jakarta is the second province with cases of online gender-based violence (OGBV) and according to P2TP2A data, West Jakarta is ranked second with 126 cases. This study aims to determine the relationship between teenagers' knowledge and attitudes towards online gender-based violence (OGBV) in West Jakarta City High School. A cross-sectional study design was used in this study. The study population consisted of a sample of 34,887 teenagers and 150 respondents from West Jakarta City High School, and cluster random sampling was used for sample selection. Univariate and bivariate analyses were conducted using Chi-square. The bivariate results showed a p-value of 0.001 for the poor knowledge category and a p-value of 0.028 for the sufficient category, while the attitude had a p-value of 0.001 for the poor knowledge category and a sufficient p-value of 0.001. It can be concluded, there is a significant relationship between teenagers' knowledge and attitudes towards online gender-based violence (OGBV), where the better the attitude and knowledge, the lower the risk of online gender-based violence (OGBV). It is recommended for educational institutions to incorporate online gender-based violence (OGBV) education into the school curriculum that emphasizes the active role of teenagers, such as peer education, to increase knowledge and positive attitudes towards online gender-based violence (OGBV).
