Abstract
Workers at the Dharmais Cancer Hospital PT PP Persero Tbk project are at risk of experiencing poor sleep quality due to long working hours. This issue is exacerbated by several work accident incidents resulting from poor sleep quality. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between individual factors and environmental factors on the sleep quality of Dharmais Cancer Hospital project workers. This research used a cross-sectional study design. Data was analyzed using the chi-square test and logistic regression. The research population consisted of Dharmais Cancer Hospital project workers, with a sample size of 108 workers selected using simple random sampling. The instruments used included the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Brinkman Index, Perceived Stress Scale, the Alat Ukur Kelelahan Kerja (KAUPK2) Questionnaire and the sleep environment questionnaire. There were 55.6% of 108 workers who experienced poor sleep quality. Bivariate analysis results found that smoking habits (p-value = 0.013 and 0.030; POR 95% CI: 5.143 (1.176–22.483)) had a significant relationship with sleep quality. The sleep environment (p-value = 0.022; POR 95% CI: 2.356 (1.044–5.316)) also had a significant relationship with sleep quality. Suggestions for respondents include reducing or eliminating smoking habits and improving the sleep environment.
