Abstract

Crimes are becoming more diverse as time goes by, one of which is rape, rape cases are increasingly common in Indonesia. Where the criminal law is clearly written, in article 285 it is stated that anyone who, by force and threats, forces a woman to have sexual intercourse with him outside of marriage, is threatened for committing rape with a maximum prison sentence of twelve years. This regulation is one of the regulations that can punish perpetrators of the crime of rape. The resolution of criminal cases of rape is sometimes felt to be unfair to victims affected by disaster when seen from the impact received by the victim. Rape has a bad psychological impact on the victim, such as mental disorders such as PTSD or posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, and behavioral changes, not only psychological but also physical, such as genital infections, inflammation and hypoactive sexual desire disorders.
