Abstract
The Yemeni conflict that has occurred since 2014 was marked by the conquest of Sanaa by the Houthi group and threatened the stability of Mansur Hadi's government. The unfavorable situation made President Mansur Hadi flee to Saudi Arabia and ask for help with military intervention which then placed Saudi Arabia as the main actor in the conflict. On the other hand, the Houthis have slowly succeeded in controlling most of Yemen with their military strength which is thought to have received assistance from Iran. Saudi Arabia and Iran ultimately had further involvement in the Yemeni conflict several years later. This research aims to analyze the reasons behind the involvement of Saudi Arabia and Iran in the Yemeni conflict for the 2014-2021 period. Using qualitative methods, researchers analyze the involvement of Saudi Arabia and Iran in the conflict using national interest theory and conflict theory. The author uses primary and secondary data sources which will be processed in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The final result of this research is that the author finds that there are three main components of the national interests of Saudi Arabia and Iran which lie behind their involvement in this conflict
