Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) is a public health problem that has received global attention and is a priority for elimination. The risk of TB increases by 10% per year in people with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) as one of the main causes of death in HIV patients. This study aims to determine the risk factors for tuberculosis in HIV patients (TB-HIV) in DKI Jakarta. A cross-sectional study was conducted with secondary data, namely the HIV AIDS Information System (SIHA) in 2023. Data analysis was carried out univariate, bivariate, and multivariate. Among 59,982 samples, the prevalence of TB-HIV in DKI Jakarta was 4.7%. Multivariate analysis results found that productive age (POR=0,68; 95% CI 0,526 – 0,868), marital status of widow/widower (POR=1,04; 95% CI 0,802 – 1,336), marital status of unmarried (POR=0,63; 95% CI 0,548 – 0,728), HIV clinical stage 3 and 4 (POR=6,43; 95% CI 5,445 – 7,583), and PP INH (POR=0,60;95% CI 0,506 – 0,705) had a significant relationship with the incidence of TB-HIV in DKI Jakarta. This study found that HIV clinical stage 3 and 4 is the dominant variable in the incidence of TB-HIV in DKI Jakarta. The government is expected to strengthen the Information, Education and Communication (IEC) in Care Support and Treatment (CST) as well as various platforms that are packaged in an attractive and interactive way. HIV sufferers are expected to get ART care and medication regularly to prevent the development of poor clinical conditions and delayed treatment.
