Abstract
DKI Jakarta has been the province with the highest number of HIV cases, reaching 82.033 cases from 2010 to March 2023. Central Jakarta recorded the highest cumulative number of AIDS cases, which was 1.284 cases in 2021. Individual prevention behaviors play a crucial role in addressing new HIV infections. This research aims to identify factors related to HIV/AIDS prevention behaviors. It is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design conducted in May 2024. The study population consists of people aged 19-59 years living in Central Jakarta. The research sample was selected using proportional stratified random sampling techniques, involving 158 respondents from eight subdistricts. Univariate analysis indicated a 54.4% proportion of HIV/AIDS prevention behaviors. Bivariate analysis found significant association between knowledge of HIV/AIDS, attitudes towards HIV/AIDS, exposure to information, health facilities, and family roles with HIV/AIDS prevention behaviors. The multivariate analysis indicates that the most influential factor on HIV/AIDS prevention behaviors is the health facilities (POR=2.903). The study concludes that improving these factors can play a crucial role in preventing HIV/AIDS. Therefore, it is necessary for the government to enhance education, access to healthcare, family support, and ensure the distribution of reliable and thorough information.
