Abstract

The availability of clean water in Jakarta is a major challenge in supporting life and activities. This research discusses the investment analysis for constructing a 500 liters per second Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) to address the water crisis in the area. The investment feasibility analysis reveals a total initial investment of Rp 206.3 billion, with the project reaching breakeven (BEP) in the fifth year. Total water sales over five years amount to 72.7 million m³, with an NPV of Rp 624.5 billion and an IRR of 13.8%, exceeding the discount rate of 6.25%. Other financial indicators such as ROI of 116% and BCR of 2.0128 demonstrate the project's viability. The construction of the WTP in PIK is expected to mitigate land subsidence caused by groundwater extraction from areas outside PIK and improve access to clean water. This project is crucial for maintaining water resilience in Jakarta, especially amidst high population growth and economic activities.
