Abstract
Sinar Pak Jali Cracker Factory is a business engaged in the production of crackers in Bekasi area. During the cracker production process, workers experience discomfort in various parts of their bodies. The processing at Sinar Pak Jali Cracker Factory still involves the use of manual equipment and human labor, such as moving dough, pallets, and crackers by hand. Workers in the cracker molding section exhibit poor body posture, which can lead to injury if sustained over time. The methods used in this research include the Nordic Body Map (NBM), Cornell Musculoskeletal Discomfort Questionnaires (CMDQ), and the Job Strain Index (JSI) to identify work risks and the level of pain complaints experienced by workers. Additionally, Ergonomic Function Deployment (EFD) is utilized to design functional and ergonomic assistive devices. The JSI data processing results indicate that workers at the cracker molding workstation have a high-risk level, with CMDQ and NBM questionnaires showing pain complaints in several body parts. The proposed improvement involves designing assistive tools based on anthropometric calculations, specifically a height-adjustable trolley table. Comparison results between NBM, CMDQ, and JSI before and after the improvement show a reduction in risk levels.
