Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to determine the role of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in handling cases of criminal acts of corruption in the military environment. The writing method used is normative juridical with a statutory approach. The results of this research indicate that the role of the Corruption Eradication Commission in handling criminal acts of corruption involving TNI members is still not optimal due to overlapping regulations between Law Number 19 of 2019 concerning the Corruption Eradication Commission and Law Number 31 of 1997 concerning Military Justice. Harmonization of laws and regulations is needed to provide legal certainty regarding the handling of corruption cases involving members of the TNI. Especially for TNI members who occupy civilian positions and commit crime together with civil society. The resolution of criminal acts of corruption within the military should still be resolved through corruption courts in order to create legal certainty.
