Abstract
Indonesia is a diverse country because it has many different tribes, religions, races, languages, customs and cultures. If this diversity is not managed well, the possibility of social conflict for women and children will become increasingly real. In many countries with conflict-ridden societies, women are still marginalized in conflict resolution, so that women's roles have not received proper appreciation. Even at the local level, such as Aceh, Acehnese women have limitations in terms of dressing, socializing, curfew, communication, and other things. This rarely happens in cities, but still applies in rural areas. On the other hand, men are the most dominant in community deliberations in the village; however, based on the idea of equality, women have the right to participate in deliberations until a decision is made. Therefore, the need for policies that strengthen gender equality and the involvement of women in all aspects of decision making at all levels will give rise to policies that are more peace-oriented. Then, Indonesia adopted UNSCR 1325 as RAN P3AKS. In implementing the RAN P3AKS, the Indonesian government was accompanied by UN Women as an international organization that focuses on gender equality and women's empowerment in ensuring Indonesia's commitment to implementing the WPS agenda. With assistance provided by UN Women, this research aims to analyze and determine the role of UN Women together with the Ministry of PPPA in the local RAN P3AKS, namely RAD P3AKS Aceh, Indonesia for the 2021-2023 period. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative using primary and secondary data sources, namely by conducting interviews with relevant informants and also supplemented with document study data. The results of this research show that UN Women is playing its role in efforts to strengthen Aceh's RAD P3AKS infrastructure policy, such as strengthening the capacity of integrated teams, strengthening coordination between national and regional ministries/institutions, as well as sharing knowledge regarding information on implementing RAN P3AKS locally.
